Cherine War Press Release

A method has been discovered to infuse war machines with the spirits of the dead, forcing them to relive the most painful memories of their past lives in an endless spiral as they are pulled from the ether and used as energy for their mechanical purposes on the battlefield for exterminating their master’s enemies. They are only partially aware of the killing, living half in a dream, half in a state of rage. Though this knowledge has resurfaced, there are those in power actively opposing its resurgence.

However, these Cherine Wars are only a relic, a throwback to a time when technology, technology only one man could have conceived, was brought into the knowledge of men. Then, light had gone out of the heavens in the blink of an eye, so had the means for clustered intergalactic travel, and in time people completely forgot they were once connected to the rest of the universe. Religions cropped up over the millennia as a result, referencing times immemorial when Reyes roamed The System. As eons passed, people forgot there were once means for super-longevity, and as technology now begins again to gain a foothold on the edge of human consciousness, only General Lancaster, spearheading the Seventh Legion of the Outer System, can lead the impetus to restoring order in The System out of a demigod’s reign of biorbital terror and religious indoctrination on a system-wide scale. With a newly formed group of transcendental warriors backed by the full force of Cherine Loyalists, he intends to free the spirits of the damned, and take back the heavens that once belonged to them.

First time novelist Charles Harder sets out to fuse his passion and interest of philosophy and beliefs from East to West, with influences varying from western Sci-Fi and Fantasy literature and Japanese RPGs from the golden days of the 16-bit and 32-bit era of masterful storytelling that went completely under the radar. Cherine War is out today on Amazon.com in Paperback and for Kindle App!
